SAADU ABUBAKAR KUMO is a journalist based in Gombe, Nigeria. Saadu Abubakar Kumo is a reporter, translator and news caster in English , Hausa and Fulfulde, he also coaches young promising journalist who usually find themselves at Gombe State Media Corporation for their work industrial attachment from various institutions of learning. I worked for the last two decades at the media outfit. I lives in Gombe State,Nigeria. Saadu's interest in media career began since he was in secondary school, where he joined press club writing, and presenting stories a development that instilled the journalism profession. First, I started with visiting various media houses and participating as a guest in different radio and television Hausa and Fulfulde programs, such as "Gam Reube, Samairu, Wasa Kwakwalwa, Mu Tattauna, and many more". Born in Kumo town in northern Nigeria, l attended Bayero University Kano where l studied mass communication and bag a professional Diploma in the year 2000. My passion to Fulfulde language inspired me to contribute alot in many Fulfulde programs run by our state own media organisation the GMC, which paved way for appointment as the Head of Fulfulde unit to oversee all Fulfulde Radio and Television programs, news, translations and presentations in addition to running of live programs on issues at stake. Been the Head of the unit it gives me the opportunity to represent my organization at a workshop organized by the center for the study of Nigerian languages Bayero University Kano, on harmonisation of Fulfulde translations of some political and legal terms held in the year 2008, which drew participants from the state own media outfits in 19 states of northern Nigeria, Fulfulde schoolers from various universities and lnstitutions of higher learning.
