The topic of homosexuality is at least tolerated in Jordan above the whispers it's relegated to elsewhere in the Middle East, being openly homosexual is not an option here. Cultural mores deem homosexuality. To open up would be worse, dishonoring one's family. Here, there is no greater offense.
