Mahmud Ibrahim Kwari

Mahmud Ibrahim Kwari is a Journalist based in Kano, Nigeria. Mahmud is highly committed to attaining organizational goals through creativity and use of practical   experiences as well as trainings for effective and efficient result. As a Computer literate, Mahmud is adequately familiar with News gathering, reporting and editing using modern media equipment both  for broadcast and print media. This is in addition to skills of handling assignments and knowledge in  management of Radio programs production processes (Local and International). As a Master Degree holder in Public Relations (MPR), Mahmud is versatile and  an expert in the area of strategic Communications, internal and external communications strategy as well as public relations and media relations management. This is in addition to effective skills in communication crisis management as well as good marketing and promotional Communication skills.  A part from his academic attainment, Mahmud rose through the cadre in the media industry where he served at various capacities, ranging from  Marketing officer, producer and Presenter of Programs, News Translations, Parliamentary Reporter, News Editor, Head of Reportorial to News Editor. He also served as Coordinator, Community Journalists, a Project under UK-DFID after which he assumed the role of  Manager News in one the radio station in  Kano, Nigeria. Mahmud is an international broadcaster with more than two decades experiences and he has been working with the Hausa service of the Voice of America (VOA) as a freelance Journalist since the year 2012 covering the states of Kano and Jigawa North-Western Nigeria.
