Lice Movono is a Suva-based multiplatform journalist, communications specialist and media skills trainer with over two decades of experience covering the South Pacific, particularly Fiji, for including reporting for international outlets including ABC, RNZ, Al Jazeera, The Guardian among other titles Her work spans television, radio, and digital platforms, with a focus on governance, climate change, Indigenous rights, gender, public health, and digital disinformation. She has a passion for building media capacity among journalists and civil society and is the founder of Today Media Fiji, a content production platform supporting cross-platform storytelling rooted in Pacific realities.
Movono has reported extensively on Fiji’s COVID-19 crisis, providing in-depth coverage of the outbreak’s impact, government response, vaccine rollout, and public mistrust. Her stories have addressed political transparency, the health of national leaders, and the disproportionate restrictions on local journalists.
