About Joaquin
Based in Cambodia since 2016, I am a freelance documentary photographer with extensive hands-on experience documenting remote and diverse communities across Asia and Africa. My work focuses on highlighting cultural identity, social challenges, and the resilience of underrepresented communities. Prior to photography, I worked in international development in a United Nations organization, specializing in food security, nutrition, and climate change. This background has given me a deep understanding of global development issues, which I now translate into compelling visual narratives.

My photography is driven by a passion for storytelling and advocacy. I create impactful visuals designed to amplify voices, raise awareness, and enhance the visibility of social and environmental challenges.
