Eylem Yılmaz is a journalist based in Istanbul, Turkey. I worked as news editor and a reporter at Agos, Radikal Newspaper, Medyatava and T24. Then, in 2016, I won a scholarship for my research project from International Journalism Program Objective, which was about the families whose houses were destroyed due to ditch conflicts experienced in Turkey's southeastern province and were forced to migrate to Istanbul. In the scope of this research, I conducted interviews with 9 families in Sur-Diyarbarkır, Şırnak and Cizre, Nusaybin and Yüksekova. I continue to work on my book which consists all of these interviews. This project was published in the title of "New residents of Istanbul from Cizre to Yüksekova". Lastly, between September 2018 and February 2019, I worked as a research assistant in the project supported by TUBITAK and which was executed by Professor Dr. Fuat Keyman, academic member of Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Faculty at Sabancı University, name of which was '' Making the Peace Process Permanent: Socialization in the Post-Conflict Construction Process ". I also took part in the Independent Journalists Platform (P24): A Portrait of Peace: An Overview of the Lives We Lost on October 10, 2015. (October 10, 2017)
